Muchalinda Lake, also known as Lotus Pond, is a holy lake in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, located 1.5 kilometers from the Bodhgaya Bus Station. It is one of the great sites to visit in Bodhgaya, located immediately next to the Mahabodhi Temple.

The Muchalinda Lake, named after Muchalinda, the snake king, is yet another calm area in Bodh Gaya. This lake has a tale attached to it. During Buddha's sixth week of meditation, a massive storm is said to have erupted here while he was sitting. Muchalinda emerged from his residence underneath the lake to shield Lord Buddha from the storm's raging, and he utilized his hood to keep the storm from disrupting Buddha's meditation. The epic narrative is shown on the structure at the center of Muchalinda Lake. The epic narrative inscribed on the rocks at the lake's edge may be found.

Muchalinda Lake attracts a large number of visitors, particularly Buddhist monks, who come to meditate since the lake is surrounded by lush foliage and a tranquil ambiance. The water in the pond is holy, and there are hundreds of fish in it that you may feed with puffed rice. Because of the decorations and lights around the lake's shores, the lake appears spectacular at night.
