06 Days Varanasi Ayodhya Allahabad Tour
05 Nights / 06 Days

Kashi, also known as Varanasi, Benares, or Rudravasa, is a city on the banks of the Ganga river. For both Hindus and Buddhists, it is the holiest of all the Indian cities. Kashi is greatly venerated by pilgrims due to its location on the sacred Ganges and its inclusion in numerous Hindu myths. A straight route to salvation—and ending the cycle of rebirth—is thought to be to be cremated in Kashi on the banks of the revered Ganges river. The Sanskrit term for "to shine" in the name Kashi designates the place as the "City of Light."

Hindu mythology holds that Lord Shiva built the city of Kashi after Lord Brahma's head was severed during a struggle with Lord Shiva. In a victory parade, Lord Shiva brought this skull and dropped it where Kashi is located today, making this city extremely sacred and holy. The Pandavas in the Hindu epic Mahabharata are reported to have travelled to the city to atone for their crimes. The city of Kashi is an important centre for culture and industry in addition to its religious and historical significance. Here are a few things you can see and do in this lovely city while on the Varanasi Ayodhya Allahabad Tour!

The Ganga, the river on which Varanasi is located, is a legendary, mythical river that is essential to Hinduism. On the banks of the river, several Hindu rituals are performed everyday. You can see them and take a boat trip to take in the scenery. Don't pass up this fantastic opportunity!

The Jyotirlinga, which is revered under the stunning gold domes of this temple, which was built in 1780 by the Queen Ahilyabai Holkar, is its claim to fame. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a must-see since it is the most famous temple in the most well-known temple town.
