Inaugurated in 1959, Chidiya Ghar, also known as the National Zoological Park, is located near Delhi's Old Fort and is a popular weekend spot for both adults and children. National Zoological Park is well managed and is visited in large part by visitors. It has canteens inside at very fair rates for the tourists and battery-operated vehicles that you could use if tired. But the real fun is to wander your feet around the spot. Visit this place for our furry friends to reignite your curiosity!

The zoo has all manner of animals and birds, from the largest cats to the tiniest ones. It was originally known as Delhi Zoo until it was renamed The National Zoological Park in 1982, with the intention of making it the country's model zoo.

Birds and animals live in an environment within the Zoological Park, which resembles their natural habitat in many respects. The zoo also helps them breed into captivity in addition to providing a sanctuary for endangered animals. It also houses breeding programs for Asian Lion, Royal Bengal Tiger, Brow Antlered Deer, Swamp Wolf, Indian rhinoceros, and Red Jungle fowl conservation programmes. They will eventually thrive in the wild once again.
