The Himalayan Nature Park is located at Kufri, 18 km away from the capital city of Shimla in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh in India. The Park is spread over 90 hectares of land covered with temperate vegetation at an altitude of over 2600 meters in the Western Himalayas.

This Park serves as a natural habitat for several varieties of Flora and Fauna and,  many wild animals including Brown Bear, Leopard, Musk deer, Black bear, Barking Deer, Tibetan wolf, Bharal, White Crested Kaleej, Cheer Pheasant, Sambhar and Ghoral.

This Park houses the state bird of Himachal Pradesh ‘Monal’, which is one of the endangered Himalayan species. The Park also, has a small zoo in the middle of dense forests where some of the rare breeds of wild animals from the Himalayan territory are found. Due to its beautiful slopes and presence of large variety of wild animals, this park is a must visit site among tourists.

The visitors also get to see snow leopard here. Horse riding, calm and serene environment, rich vegetation and bio-diversity, camping and trekking with prior permission, sight-seeing of wild animals in their undisturbed natural and usual habitat provides an opportunity to the visitors to have a vivid experience in the lap of the Himalayas.
