The viewpoint of Seethargundu is in the western ghats of Nelliyampathy. It is about 8 km from Nelliyampathy. Seethargundu has associated with Ramayana. There is a saying that Lord Ram, Lakshmanan and Mother Sita rested at this place during their fourteen year vanavasam period.

 

Seethargundu waterfall runs approximately 100 ft, which offers a beautiful experience. This position provides a large view of stone queries and paddy fields spread around a green cover. Seethargundu estate is one of the best organic tea and coffee cultivation farms.

 

Seethargundu can be reached by route from Palakkad via Nelliyampathy. Existing unusual bus services. Mampara, Padagiri, Kesavpara and Pothundy reservoirs are within easy reach of attractions worth visiting.
