Ladakh is home to India's most famous high mountain passes, one of which is Chang La Pass. The world's third highest mountain pass, the Pangong Tso lake, which is a famous tourist destination in Ladakh, is a must-see during a tour in Ladakh.

Chang La Pass is situated at about 5,360 meters of altitude, and is named after Changla Baba, the renowned saint. He is dedicated to a temple that stands here. The pass is 15 kilometers long and is kept by the Indian Armed Forces.

The whole stretch of the Chang La Pass is made up of loose dirt, mud and small streams across the road in the summer which makes entering this stretch a challenge for bikers.
