Located in southern Indian hill station of Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, Bear Shola Falls is small cascade in green plantations. This is seasonal waterfall which flows to its full size in monsoons. This place got its name because it was drinking place of bears of forest. And word ‘Shola’ in the name is a type of forest that surrounds the cascade. The falls are base of River Parappar, which is now known as Tevankarai Aar.

With slanting height, Bear Shola Falls lies inside forest reserve which is unhindered by human.
