Bandhavgarh is a small place located in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. It is a well-known tourist destination famous for ‘The Bandhavgarh Fort’ and ‘Bandhavgarh National Park’. The national park is one of the most populated habitat of tigers and a wide variety of flora and fauna.

The Bandhavgarh Fort on the other hand is located on the Bandhavgarh hill 811 meters above the sea level in the center of the Bandhavgarh National Park. The fort offers a spectacular view of about 32 hills of the Vindhyachal ranges surrounding the fort. It is assumed to be 2000 years old and is also known by the name ‘Moti Mahal’.

The fort is visible from any corner of the National Park.It has some man-made caves which depicts ancient inscriptions and carvings, rock-cut rooms, water-reservoirs, temples evident of age-old human civilizations. The Charanganga stream and the huge statue of ‘Vishnu’ from 10th century are some of the famous spots to visit around the fort.
